Today is teacher’s day and I’d like to express my thankfulness to you.

Teachers are often regarded as candles or gardeners, they help students to solve problems and never lose their passion and duty.

For all the things what you say and do are like spring that nurtures new green sprouts and encourage us whenever we have doubts.

You are like summer whose sunny temperament makes studying a pleasure. Your guidance makes us go far and do things differently. Inspire a love of knowledge and truth.

You light the path which leads our youth and teaches us to aim for success and accept failure with courage.

Dear president,

I’m Li Hong from our school. I heard the news that our school will welcome some Canadian exchange students for 2 weeks. I’d like to join this project, and there are some reasonable and realistic conditions that I have list as follows.

Firstly, the most basic condition is that I can communicate with foreign students in English without any difficulties.

Secondly, our family has an apartment near school with 3 bedrooms and one will be spared for the exchange student. Furthermore, my parents have an excellent skill in cooking Chinese or western food.

Last but not the least, I’m so interested in the Canadian culture, such as landmarks, litterateurs, living attitude and so on. Likewise, my father has a good master in handwriting and my mother is a Chinese teacher. On this account, it will be a win-win situation for the exchange student and me.

All in all, I’m ready to receive the Canadian exchange student.
